Every polyhouse project we have seen stall has stalled over accessories. Not over the frame, not over the film — over a clamp size nobody ordered, or a spring that ran out at bay eleven of fourteen.

These parts are individually trivial and collectively decisive. Profile and zigzag spring is what actually holds your film and netting to the structure — an unsealed edge means your insect net excludes nothing and your film billows until it tears. Clamps and connectors hold the frame geometry, and the wrong diameter simply does not fit. Pulleys run the roll-up vents that make natural ventilation work. Plant clips carry the crop.

The failure mode is always the same: accessories get treated as an afterthought, ordered late or under-ordered, and a site with a crew standing on it waits for a part worth a few rupees. We supply the accessory line with the structure, quantified against your actual bay count and vent runs, because that is the only way it does not happen.

Nobody photographs a clamp. But the accessory line is where installations succeed or stall, and where an otherwise sound structure fails at the edges.

Common questions

It is the standard method for securing film and netting to a structure. The aluminium profile is fixed to the frame along the fixing line, the film or net is laid over it, and the zigzag spring is pressed into the channel to lock it in place. It grips without puncturing, it can be released and re-tensioned, and it gives a continuous seal along the whole run. This last part matters enormously for insect netting — a perimeter with gaps excludes nothing, no matter how fine the mesh.

By structure geometry, not by guesswork. Profile and spring are specified by the running length of every fixing line — perimeter, vents, gable ends. Clamps by tube diameter and joint count. Pulleys by vent run length. Plant clips by plant count. Send us your structure dimensions and bay count and we will quantify the lot, including sensible contingency. Under-ordering is the most common cause of site stoppage on polyhouse builds, and it is entirely avoidable.

Yes, and it is a common request. We need the tube diameter, the bay count, the fixing line lengths and the vent configuration. Tube diameter in particular is not something to guess — measure it. A clamp for the wrong diameter is scrap, and the delivery time to correct it is exactly the site stoppage you were trying to avoid.

Yes, and it is a real failure mode rather than a sales point. Clips and plastic fittings sit in full light under the film for the entire life of the crop. Non-stabilised plastic goes brittle and snaps, typically mid-season with a loaded crop on it. The clip is worth a rupee; the crop it drops is not. This is one place where the cheap option genuinely costs more.

Zigzag spring, consistently. It is specified by running length across every fixing line, and people count the perimeter but forget the vents, the gable ends and the internal partitions. The result is a site that gets to bay eleven of fourteen and stops. When we quantify, we count every fixing line on the drawing and add contingency — because a spare coil of spring is cheap and a stalled crew is not.
